Montreal singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk has unveiled the video for his current single, ‘Elegy’. The track is the first to be taken from Leif’s
forthcoming album ‘Twin Solitude’ which is out February 24
via Secret City Records. On Spotify, ‘Elegy’ recently climbed into the
top 15 on the UK Viral chart and is now fast approaching half a million
streams.
Directed
by Kaveh Nabatian, the ‘Elegy’ video was filmed in a Florida beach town
that Leif frequented as a child. During filming, he danced in the dunes
through sunset, followed
by Nabatian with a camera strapped to him and a speaker attached so
they could hear the song. The pair danced up and down the dunes all day,
until it got dark and they were kicked off the beach.
Vollebekk has announced a New York show at Mercury Lounge on February 28th and an album launch show in Montréal on March 2nd as well as an extensive European tour supporting Colorado folk artist Gregory Alan Isakov in March and April. The UK dates of the tour will take in Brighton, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, and will culminate with a show at the Islington Assembly Hall in London on April 3rd.
