The Grisly Hand,
a six-piece country, rock & soul band from Kansas City MO, will
tour the Northeastern US this August, including stops in New York City,
Chicago and an appearance at the "Belgium Comes To Cooperstown" beer
festival in Cooperstown NY. The band is promoting their latest release, Country Singles.
Released in 2013, Country Singles is receiving rave reviews in the Kansas City press and in national music blogs & websites. Tim Finn of the Kansas City Star writes “Country Singles
covers a wide berth of dynamics and emotions, but it is also a
confirmation, evidence of The Grisly Hand’s evolution to a band with its
own solid identity and clear voice, a sound rooted in country music but
colored and accented by a variety of American sounds, from rock n roll
to folk and soul.” The band has released two music videos, for “That’s Not Affection” and the title track.
Formed in 2009, The Grisly Hand was named by PASTE Magazine as one of “10 Missouri Bands You Should Know Now”. The band released two EPs prior to Country Singles,
building a solid fan base in Kansas City and other markets in the
Midwest with exemplary songcraft and dynamic live performances.
