Los Angeles quintet The Neighbourhood has released their debut album I Love You. via Columbia Records. The band has announced a nationwide headlining tour, “The Love Collection Tour” which kicks off May 20th in Sacramento, CA and will make stops in major cities such as New York, Las Vegas, Austin and Detroit. The band’s new video for buzzed about track “Sweater Weather” which is
currently top 5 at Alternative Radio has reached over 1.3 million views
to date.
The previous video for "Sweater Weather" amassed 2 million views. “Sweater Weather” is #5 on the PLAYLIST feature in the current issue of Rolling Stone magazine. “The buzzy Cali band has a hit on its hands with this slow-burn rocker. Layering hasn’t sounded this cool since “The Sweater Song.”
“Sweater Weather is making a huge impact on the indie pop community,” says Buzznet. Time Magazine lists I Love You. as one of the top albums to look forward to this year.
The Neighbourhood are currently on tour in the US (wrapping up dates with FOALS, Atlas Genius, Paul Banks of Interpol and The Temper Trap) before heading to the UK for select shows including Leeds festival. The band just returned from two successful performances at this year’s Coachella. In addition, after MASSIVE performances at this year’s SXSW festival, the band will perform at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago in early August 2013.
The Neighbourhood released their debut 5-track EP, I’m Sorry, in August of last year, featuring the hot singles, “Female Robbery” and of course, “Sweater Weather.”
