The Superbees are back with the long awaited follow-up to "High Volume". Critics hailed their raucous Acetate Records debut as "an electrifying set of garage rock that would impress fans of Thee Hypnotics, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and the White Stripes. The band crafts undeniably catchy tunes out of influences like MC5, the Stooges and Rolling Stones, complete with vocalist and guitarist Dave James' wall of searing riffs."
Back once again with the original line-up, The Superbees deliver "Top Of The Rocks," a knockout six-song EP that picks up where High Volume left off. Joining the Bees once again are Jake Cavalier (The Fuzztones, Lords of Altamont) on Farfisa and indie-rock recluse Cody ChesnuTT (The Roots), who handles percussion duties on "Bad News."
"The joint was packed to the rafters, the benefit was to replace equipment stolen from The Superbees, who opened the show with a blistering set of Detroit style garage punk. Check these guys out, they're very cool." -- Jeff Dahl, Sonic Iguana
"...one of the most electrifying pure rock bands in town...a searing set of Saints/Sonics-inspired garage shock. Vocalist/guitarist DAVE JAMES...a mad riffing hooligan, knocking out killer chords while engaging in high-energy Townshend-like leaps and scowling at the audience..." -- Jim Freek, LA Weekly
